A website that provides barrier-free tourism information has been established.

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Tourism Organization announced on the 7th that they had opened an obstacle-free tourism information site ‘Open Tourism Everyone’s Travel’ on the 7th to create an environment where anyone can travel. Unlike a typical homepage, it features improved information accessibility for the disabled and the elderly, who are actual consumers, by adding functions such as text size adjustment, voice support, and high-contrast viewing. It features customized content for each type of disability, such as a disability-free tourism information search function, map service, and sign language video. It also provides barrier-free recommended courses for each type of consumer, such as the disabled, the elderly, and families with infants and toddlers, and more than 7,500 barrier-free DBs (tourist attractions, lodgings, restaurants, etc.). To commemorate the opening of the site, the Tourism Organization will hold a giveaway event for new members for two weeks from February 8 to 21.

Park In-sik, head of the Tourism Welfare Center at the Korea Tourism Organization, said, “Based on the establishment of a barrier-free tourism information website, we will strengthen various barrier-free contents that meet the needs of consumers.”
