Holidays in Europe: what applies to the winter holidays? – Trip

Did the uniform travel rules come into force on February 1st?

Actually yes. Last week, the EU states agreed that the incidence at the point of departure of a trip should no longer be decisive, but rather whether holidaymakers can present valid proof of vaccination, convalescence or a test at the border. The EU Covid certificate would then be decisive. This should be implemented quickly everywhere, according to the Appeals from the EU Commission. However, it quickly became apparent that, despite the joint decision, not all states would completely adapt their rules within a few days.
