According to preliminary, unaudited figures for the 2021 financial year, Wüstenrot & Württembergische AG (W&W) will achieve an IFRS net profit for the group in the range of EUR 350 to 360 million.

This would exceed the target range, which had already been increased to between 280 and 330 million euros on June 23, 2021. In 2020, the result was 210.8 million euros. The main reason for the renewed adjustment is the even more positive capital market development. In addition, a very good net loss/expense ratio was achieved in property insurance in 2021 due to cautious risk hedging.

According to preliminary, unaudited figures, the HGB net income for the year of the parent company W&W AG, which is decisive for the dividend distribution, will be at the level of EUR 110 million, which was also adjusted in June 2021. In 2020, a HGB result of 100.3 million euros was achieved.

Jürgen A. Junker, CEO of W&W AG: “The past financial year was anything but easy. The coronavirus pandemic, storms, low interest rates and increasing competitive pressure have demanded a lot from our employees. It shows how right our New beginnings and our consistent digitization were and went. We have become faster, closer to customers, more agile and more digital. This is also confirmed by the positive feedback we have received from our customers. Despite the success, we remain cautious overall. The uncertainties for Economy and consumers are still big, so is the impact of inflation.”
