Campaign against anti-Semitism presented
“Anti-Semitism has many forms, all of which can be recognized,” said the posters that Interior Senator Iris Spranger (SPD) presented on Monday (January 10, 2022). Photos show, for example, a man who laughs on his thighs, a singer in front of a microphone and a lecturer or teacher in class. “This is anti-Semitism and not a joke” and “This is anti-Semitism and not a rhyme” are headlines.
Campaign is aimed at witnesses to anti-Semitic incidents
“Look, recognize, act,” calls on the Senate. The campaign is aimed at witnesses to anti-Semitic incidents. Anti-Semitism occurs in many facets and is not always recognizable at first glance. The campaign should therefore also serve to “illuminate the dark” in the area. Posters, moving pictures and postcards are to be seen in the city over the next two weeks. An advisory board from the Jewish community also participated in the conception. Materials for educational work in schools and other institutions would be developed.
Spranger emphasized: “The fight against anti-Semitism is a task for society as a whole. The action of all people in our city is required. ” Everyone in Berlin can pay attention to incidents and support those affected.
