Tim Thomas (40) took over the vacant position of Senior Vice President Marketing & Communications at the IT consulting company Materna Information & Communications SE on January 1, 2022. In this role he will expand the Executive Management Board of the Materna Group and report to the Chairman of the Board of Management Martin Wibbe. Tim Thomas was previously Executive Vice President Marketing & Communications and a member of the management team at the market companion msg Group in Munich.

The media economist Tim Thomas has many years of management experience in international IT companies as well as strategic advice to large international companies on all issues in the areas of strategy, change, brand, marketing & communications and can bring this knowledge very well to Materna.

In April 2021, the Materna Group presented its growth strategy up to 2025, which aims to double sales and employees in the core market of Germany, but also internationally with customers in Europe, the USA and Asia. After a record turnover of 355.1 million euros in 2020, another record turnover and the exceeding of 3,000 employees are expected for 2021.

His professional career began with a degree in media economics from BiTS University (Business and Information Technology School), which he graduated top of his class, and a Masters in Business Administration and Communication from Dublin City University. A degree in Leadership Excellence at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) followed in 2019.
