Felix Pakleppa, General Manager of the Central Association of the German Construction Industry, said:

“In addition to the 400,000 new apartments that the Federal Government believes we should build annually, the Federal Minister for Economic Affairs and Climate Protection Robert Habeck has set us a new task, namely to triple our efforts to reduce emissions. This is the right focus on the building sector. Set this challenge we as an industry!

In order not to produce any attentiveness here and not to unsettle house builders and investors, the federal government must therefore specify the energy requirements for new and existing buildings as quickly as possible and set up appropriate funding programs or change existing ones.

As an industry, we are aware of our responsibility for climate protection; our companies will process the orders with the given care as well as technical and specialist knowledge. ”
