Awarded at the Contest for Best Practices for Revitalizing Traditional Markets
Contributing to revitalization of consumption by planning ‘Paldo Market’s Specialty Bundles’
KORAIL TOURISM DEVELOPMENT announced on the 23rd that it had won the Minister of SMEs and Startups Award, the grand prize, at the ‘2021 Traditional Market Vitalization Exemplary Activities Contest’ hosted by the Small Business Market Promotion Agency on the 23rd.
This contest was held to discover and spread best practices for revitalizing traditional markets in three areas: ▲Support for work know-how utilizing institutional characteristics ▲Contribute to vitalization of traditional market consumption ▲Contribute to improvement of the traditional market environment. Among 348 public institutions, a total of 14 were selected, including the Encouragement Award, Excellence Award, and Grand Prize in each field. KORAIL TOURISM DEVELOPMENT explained that it received high marks in the field of contributing to revitalization of consumption in traditional markets by forming ‘Paldo Market Specialty Bundles’ to respond to the coronavirus in traditional markets and diversify distribution channels, connecting customers and markets to online malls.
KORAIL Tourism Development CEO Jeong Hyun-woo said, “We will discover and propose various businesses that will help traditional markets and small business owners who are suffering from the prolonged corona virus.”
