San Francisco (ots/PRNewswire)

Quectel Wireless Solutions, a global provider of IoT modules and antennas, and Point One Navigation, a leader in precision location technology, today announced the LG69T-AM, the latest addition to the LG69T series of GNSS modules. Point One’s positioning engine powers the LG69T-AM and enables global centimeter accuracy by integrating advanced GNSS into an affordable and easy-to-use module with open source API.

The GNSS module LG69T-AM-AM has the TeseoV positioning receiver platform from STMicroelectronics with 80 tracking and 4 fast detection channels compatible with GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, BeiDou, QZSS and NAVIC. The LG69T-AM uses Point One’s RTK and SSR technology for centimeter accuracy and ultra-fast convergence times. It is designed for easy integration with minimal change to the e-BOM and is well suited for mass market introduction without the need for an expensive external coprocessor. Its small size, light weight and excellent power consumption make it ideal for applications such as micromobility and precision farming.

The FusionEngine from Point One and the Polaris correction service client are integrated in the LG69T-AM. Polaris is Point One’s GNSS correction service that provides greater than 10 cm of absolute accuracy with coast-to-coast coverage in the US and across Europe. It offers a variety of connectivity options including cellular and L-band transmission. The network was specially developed for customers in the precision agriculture industry and includes advanced interference protection, interference reduction, end-to-end security and automatic integrity monitoring not offered by any other provider. The LG69T-AM is also compatible with standards-based correction services.

“Quectel is excited to partner with Point One Navigation to deliver a powerful and easy-to-use precision GNSS solution,” said Mark Murray, vice president of sales for GNSS and Automotive at Quectel Wireless Solutions. “The LG69T-AM brings us together Point One’s FusionEngine and Polaris are a truly game-changing solution. “

“Point One’s complete range of products enables the precise location of everything that moves in the real world. We are very pleased to be working with Quectel and their extensive experience in the areas of module development, support and integration. This connection will enable safer and more effective robotic systems for the mass market, “said Aaron Nathan, CEO and co-founder of Point One Navigation.
