San Jose, Kalifornien (ots/PRNewswire)
Arasan Chip Systems, the leading provider of Total IP ™ solutions for today’s Systems on a Chip (SoC) market, announces the immediate availability of its newly designed 2nd generation MIPI D-PHYSM IP for the GlobalFoundries 12 nm FinFET process node known. Arasan is a GlobalFoundries partner and several test chips have been sponsored by GlobalFoundries to test Arasan’s IP silicon and make it available for GlobalFoundries’ 12nm process.
This 2nd generation MIPI D-PHYSM for GlobalFoundries 12 nm FinFET process nodes was developed on the proven 2nd generation silicon MIPI D-PHYSM architecture from Arasan, which focuses on extremely low power consumption while optimizing space. This makes this D-PHYSM IP ideal for wearables and IoT display applications where power consumption is of the utmost importance. The D-PHYSM IP with its fault-tolerant capabilities is also aimed at automotive SoC applications, which have experienced rapid acceptance of the IP from Arasan.
Arasan MIPI D-PHYSM for GF 12 nm offers speeds of up to 2.5 Gbps per lane and is compliant with the MIPI D-PHYSM v1.2 specification. The GF 12 nm D-PHYSM is a universal PHY IP that can also be configured as an independent transmitter or receiver.
MIPI D-PHYSM from Arasan can be seamlessly integrated with MIPI CSI® IP and DSI® IP from Arasan to form a total IP solution for imaging and displays. Arasan also offers its eMMC PHY + eMMC Controller IP and NAND Controller IP + NAND Flash PHY for GF 12 nm. Arasan will expand its GlobalFoundries 12 nm offering with MIPI C-PHYSM / D-PHYSM Combo IP and the 4.5 Gbps version of D-PHYSM IP in 2022.
