Peking (ots/PRNewswire)

As a result of the epidemic, there is a large backlog of sea freight in ports and air freight capacity has decreased significantly while the demand for international logistics increases. Therefore, rail freight transport has played a very important role.

The Covid-19 pandemic continues to spread around the world and poses major challenges for the global economy to recover. Contrary to the downward trend, global economic and trade relations have experienced an upswing, thanks to the steady operation of freight trains between China and Europe during the global outbreak.

East China’s Jiangxi Province had a GDP of 1.17 trillion yuan (around $ 168 billion), ranking eighth in the country according to statistics. Foreign trade growth was the highest in China during this period.

In order to promote the normal operation of the Jiangxi-Europe freight train and combined rail and sea transport, the province has set up an express clearance mechanism for the distribution of major trading and logistics companies.

Currently, the competent authorities in China are intensifying efforts to promote cooperation between the Comprehensive Pilot Zones for Cross-Border Electronic Commerce in China and the Overseas Business and Trade Cooperation Zones at the national level to connect all the links in the import and export of cross-border electronic commerce .

The Sino-European freight train for cross-border electronic commerce from Ganzhou City in the east Chinese province of Jiangxi to Budapest has started operations. In the three years from 2021 to 2023, 100 Sino-European freight trains are expected to run to and from the two cities.

From a statistical point of view, the total customs clearance time for import and export goods in Jiangxi is 2.6 and 3.2 hours below the national average, which effectively ensures that companies can deliver. In the first half of 2021, Jiangxi’s foreign trade volume rose 25.8 percent, ranking first in China, and export growth was ranked first in China for four consecutive months.
