On December 4, 2021, entertainer Riccardo Simonetti delves deeply into the time of the 1990s in “Legendary!”. After the broadcasts about the Held: inside of the 80s and 90s, Riccardo Simonetti and the WDR will also produce four more editions of “Legendär!” In the coming year and find out what has been unforgettable about past decades.
Riccardo Simonetti: “I’m really happy that we are now in a second round of ‘Legendary!’ With the 90s. start. I am very proud that the broadcaster also places its trust in me and this format and that we will see this great show in other episodes in the coming year. “
Tattoo chains and Buffalos, Furby and Tamagotchi, Spice Girls and DJ Bobo. All this and much more stands for the 90s. Riccardo Simonetti meets some of the heroes of that time and finds out why many are still celebrating this decade. Among other things, he watches Jasmin Wagner, which really took off as “Blümchen”, back to the fashion and music of the time. In addition, he rises with Henry Maske in the boxing ring and visited with the German supermodel Eva Padberg the Fashion Week in Berlin. With Marusha, the techno queen of the 90s, Riccardo celebrates the youth movement. And Riccardo Simonetti lets the boy band hype with him Eloy de Jong of “Caught in the Act” – including dance moves. He also explores the question of what it was like for Eloy back then to come out as a boy band member.
“Legendary – Our Heroes of the 90s” will be commented on by the moderator Aleksandra Bechtel, the musicians Joey & Angelo Kelly, the journalist and presenter Donya Farahani and the comedian Abdelkarim. They also take the audience with them on their own personal journey back in time to the 90s.
