Europe’s largest provider of trips to Iceland will be setting off on a purely German-speaking cruise around Iceland for the first time in June 2022. The ten-day voyage of the OCEAN DIAMOND starts and ends in Reykjavik. German will then be spoken on board and on all shore excursions. The route also leads to smaller harbors and offers the best conditions for a cruise with an expedition character, some landings take place with the on-board Zodiacs. For this premiere, Iceland ProCruises is also bringing weather moderator and qualified meteorologist Sven Plöger on board.
Iceland Procruises lists ten circumnavigations of Iceland in its 2022 program. “The purely German-speaking departure on June 14, 2022 reflects the steadily growing interest of German guests in the destination Iceland and the small ship OCEAN DIAMOND,” says managing director Ann-Cathrin Bröcker . “When it comes to life on board, we continue to rely on many Icelandic accents: from tour guides who really know Iceland and the regions visited, to regional cuisine with freshly caught fish and real Icelandic beer. Here, too, we stay more sea voyages than cruises.”
Iceland ProCruises’ new program for voyages around Iceland and Greenland is now available at all travel agencies.

From 2022 the SEAVENTURE (164 guests) will take over two sea voyages to Greenland. An Icelandic expedition team familiarizes the passengers with the culture and nature of the islands. Both ships are powered by low-emission marine diesel oil (0.1% sulfur content).
