NRW Economics Minister Andreas Pinkwart (FDP) calls for compensation for an earlier coal exit. Should Germany end coal-fired power generation in 2030, the disbursement of structural subsidies “urgently needs to be accelerated,” said Pinkwart to the “Kölner Stadt-Anzeiger” (Friday edition). 14.8 billion euros are available for NRW. It would make sense to “create a special fund for the funds, if possible, instead of making them available in the annual budget process. That would make it easier to plan and significantly accelerate implementation,” said Pinkwart.
