Travelport announces a long-term cooperation with Lufthansa City Center International, which should pave the way for the LCCI franchisees to migrate to “Travelport +”. The newly introduced next-generation platform from Travelport offers travel sales a simplified, versatile marketplace, they say. Accordingly, Travelport will become LCCI’s preferred technology partner.
The GDS provider wants to provide the travel agency network with around 230 agencies in more than 85 countries with tailor-made solutions that can also be integrated into various existing programs from third-party providers. According to the announcement, this should allow “travel agencies to benefit from a wide range of multi-source content, improved added value and an ever wider range of new merchandising functions”. This offers the potential to increase sales and customer loyalty.
“Travelport + will play an important role in our endeavors to offer an excellent customer experience across the entire customer journey and to reduce technological complexity,” says LCCI boss Martina Groenegres.
