AfD parliamentary group in the German Bundestag
The chairman of the AfD parliamentary group in the German Bundestag, Tino Chrupalla, said:
“The Greek criticism of German migration policy hits a crucial point: The German cash benefits for asylum seekers, which are unique in a European comparison, are a main magnet for migration towards the EU and also promote intra-European secondary migration to the Federal Republic.
In addition to the mandatory expansion of effective and permanent protection of the EU’s external borders, this central pull factor for the current migration movements to Germany must be turned off and further immigration into our already overburdened social benefit systems must be ended. In addition, it must be ensured in the medium term that these services provided by the citizens for the asylum seekers are not allowed to remain without consideration in the long term.
The AfD parliamentary group is therefore calling for the new government to align the admission benefits with the other EU member states, which is long overdue. In doing so, the principle of ‘benefits in kind before cash benefits’ should be taken into account. In addition, other incentives in the German asylum procedure, such as excessively long procedures, access to the labor market before recognition and failed deportations, must be eliminated. This is the only way to control and effectively limit immigration to Germany in the future. ”
