The Frankfurter Rundschau comments on the start of the climate conference in Glasgow:

In the long term, the world is saved, only in between will it become uninhabitable. Most heads of state and government who first appeared at the G20 summit in Rome and now at the COP26 in Glasgow follow this guideline. They are aiming for climate neutrality “up to or around the middle of the century” for their states, as the great powers in Rome put it so extensively that China, with the target year 2060, will also find a place in it. If you adhere to that, at least the two-degree limit is almost within reach.

Problem: The national climate protection goals that Biden, Xi Jinping, Merkel & Co. simultaneously set for 2030 do not fit together. This path is more towards three degrees, and that is out of the question.
