Brandenburg’s Minister of Health Ursula Nonnemacher (Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen) does not consider a meeting between the federal and state governments on the subject of booster vaccinations to be necessary.
Everything has already been said on this subject, she said on Monday in the rbb’s Inforadio, referring to several resolutions of the health ministers in the past: “We faced headwinds that we again ignored the Stiko recommendation, which was not yet in place. At that time I wrote to all the doctors, even before the Stiko recommendation was there, and said: booster vaccinations for the vulnerable groups. ”
Nonnemacher emphasized that more important is a stronger, public awareness of the seriousness of the situation: “I think what is so important that in general this mentality in the population that Corona is now over, that it must be said clearly: We are running into a fourth wave in, which at the moment threatens to be as high as the waves we had last year. ”
The fight against the corona pandemic is also a topic at the German Doctors’ Day in Berlin on Monday.
