With the first German-Chinese Hospital Days on November 4th and 5th, 2021, the German-Chinese Society for Health Care Management (Berlin) and the Guangdong Hospital for Traditional Chinese Medicine (Guangzhou) are establishing the first annual cross-border digital exchange platform on the topic of hospitals.
Am first day The digital conference focuses on the area of hospital management. Georg Baum (former Managing Director of the DKG) and Ren Shao (State Secretary for the Ministry of Commerce in Guangdong) will give a political start. In a lecture on the role of hospitals in the Corona crisis, Liang Wannian (Head of Hospital Construction Wuhan) discussed with Detlef Cwojdzinski (former Head of the Berlin Health Administration Crisis Group). In two further sessions, German and Chinese hospital experts explain the current challenges in hospital management.
The integration of TCM in German and Chinese hospitals is the main focus of the second day the digital conference. The day of the conference begins with an overview of the current scientific findings of TCM by Tang Xudong (Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences) and Professor Andreas Michalsen (Chief Physician of the Naturopathy Department at Immanuel Hospital Berlin). Zhang Zhongde (Deputy Head of the Expert Group on Prevention of COVID-19) reports on the experience of TCM treatment of corona patients. Furthermore, there will be lectures on various possible uses of TCM in intensive medicine, gynecology and pain medicine. The 1st chairman of the German Medical Association for Acupuncture – Professor Dominik Irnich – reports on the use of acupuncture in pain medicine.
