The winners of “THE ZEVAS” will be announced on November 16th

The Los Angeles Auto Show® (LA Auto Show®), the premier automotive and lifestyle event, today announced the finalists for its first Zero Emission Vehicle Awards program – THE ZEVAS (TM) – sponsored by Electrify America. Enthusiasts, influencers and buyers from Los Angeles and beyond are invited to choose a winner from the pool of finalists selected by the public earlier this month. The final voting round runs from Monday November 1st to Thursday November 4th and can be found at http://www.laautoshow.com/thezevas.

Twenty-seven finalists were selected from more than 90 Qualified Zero Emission Vehicles (ZEV) that meet California standards and are available for purchase or pre-order. At this year’s ZEVAS, both long-established and newly established brands met with great public interest, as the finalists in nine categories show:

  • Compact: Aptera Motors Aptera, BMW i3, Hyundai KONA Electric
  • Coupe: Alpha Motor Company ACE(TM) Coupe, ElectraMeccanica eRoadster, Polestar 1
  • Crossover ($ 50,000 and under): Alpha Motor Company Electric JAX(TM), Fisker Ocean, Ford Mustang Mach-E
  • Crossover ($ 50,000 and above): Kia EV6, Tesla Model X, Tesla Model Y
  • Hatchback / Transporter / Car: Audi e-tron Sportback, Canoo Lifestyle Fahrzeug, Faraday Future FF91
  • Sedan (60,000 and below): BMW i4, Polestar 2, Tesla Model 3
  • Sedan ($ 60,000 and above): Lucid Air, Porsche Taycan, Tesla Model S
  • Off-road vehicle: Lincoln Aviator Grand Touring, Mullen Five, Rivian R1S
  • TRUCK: Ford F-150 Lightning, Rivian R1T, Tesla Cybertruck

The final round of voting for THE ZEVAS runs from Monday November 1st to Thursday November 4th. Voters can vote for one vehicle per category. The winners will be announced on November 16 and, along with the finalists and nominees, will be honored on November 17 at AutoMobility LA – the media and industry days of the LA Auto Show – at a special ZEVAS reception hosted by Alex Guberman, the inventor and host of E for Electric, a YouTube channel dedicated to electric cars. The public will see and test drive many of THE ZEVAS finalists and winners during the 2021 LA Auto Show, November 19-28 at the Los Angeles Convention Center.

Electrify America will not only power THE ZEVAS, but will also electrify the brand new indoor test track at the LA Auto Show, where visitors can experience and compare electric vehicles side by side in one place. The 55,000 square foot track will be housed in the South Hall alongside exhibits from many new and old car brands.
