The World Choir Games 2021 started on Saturday, October 30th with a press conference in the town hall in Ghent and a big opening show in the Expo Antwerp!

The world’s largest international choir competition will take place as a hybrid event for the first time this year. As a result, more than 300 choirs from all over the world currently have the opportunity to experience the event live and virtually despite the ongoing Covid restrictions. In addition to the many concerts and virtual meetings, the general conference of the World Choir Council is an important part of the World Choir Games. “It is a fantastic sign that we can also hold the general conference of our most important advisory body in Flanders – live and virtually! More than 120 representatives from 93 countries and regions will discuss current developments in the international choir scene and exchange ideas In this way, as ambassadors, you will bring confidence to the choirs in your home country, give them new motivation and together very soon bring the world’s stages back to life “, says Günter Titsch, President of INTERKULTUR, the World Choir Games & the World Choir Council.
