If the global temperature rise is limited to 1.5 degrees, many losses and risks caused by climate change can be avoided.

Currently, carbon neutrality has become a global consensus.

As of June 2021, 137 countries have proposed a carbon neutralization target and more than 1200 companies have committed to join SBTi, with the global ICT giants leading the way in setting strategic goals for carbon neutrality. China has announced commitments and targets for carbon emissions.

Digital technology plays a key role in achieving the goal of carbon neutrality

If we are to achieve the goal of global carbon neutrality, traditional industries face the greater challenge of reducing their consumption. The ICT industry is responsible for 2% of the world’s total carbon emissions every year. With the increasing spread of digital infrastructures, reducing ICT emissions is also facing major challenges. The ITU (International Telecommunication Union) has announced that the ICT industry will reduce its emissions by 45% by 2030.
