On September 29, 2021, the opening ceremony of the 14. PhotoChina Original International Photographic Exhibition (as PhotoChina Exhibition) successfully started in the old city of Zhenyuan in Guizhou.
Colorful Guizhou: The 14th PhotoChina Original International Photographic Exhibition Jointly hosted by the Guizhou Provincial CCP Public Relations Department, China News Service, and Guizhou Provincial Ministry of Culture and Tourism; It is organized by the Zhenyuan County CCP, the Zhenyuan County People’s Government, and the PhotoChina Exhibition Organizing Committee Office.
“Hundred Years of Glory, Natural Guizhou” is the theme of the 14th PhotoChina-Exhibition. The exhibition includes more than 2000 photos and 200 videos that are intended to show the great changes in everyday life for the Chinese and the new image of Guizhou society. In addition, the exhibition offers an academic seminar for the younger generation, recreates the process of creating intangible cultural heritage, builds original markets for healthy food, and displays a photographic mural on the theme of “Time Flies in Zhenyuan”.
In order to increase the popularity of Guizhou among the younger generation, the PhotoChina-Exhibition an original talk show titled “Chinese and Foreign Youth Speakers – Tell the History of China (Part of Guizhou) in Chinese” with the help of the Language Education and Cooperation Center affiliated with the Chinese Ministry of Education. In over 60 photo works and 30 short videos, young people from all over the world use their creativity to produce unique content and to tell their own stories about Guizhou.
Since 2008 the PhotoChina Exhibition the only international photography exhibition focused on the protection of intangible cultural heritage. For the past 14 years PhotoChina Exhibition Staged more than 500 exhibitions, collected over 100,000 works from photographers and photo organizations around the world, and organized more than 160 trips to inspire photo shoots and communication activities.
