EUR 450 has not only been an indispensable part of small and medium-sized companies since the Corona crisis and is needed more than ever after the lockdown and restart of the economy. Due to the special legal circumstances of this employment relationship, marginal part-time employees suffered to a great extent from the consequences of the corona pandemic. The ETL Group presents the “EUR 450 compensation package”. It contains legal information on conditions, possibilities and pitfalls in mini-jobs. In addition, labor lawyers Dr. Uwe Schlegel and the certified specialist consultant for the hotel and restaurant industry and tax consultant Christian Schindler from Lutherstadt Wittenberg provide valuable tips for employers on how they can make the employment relationship of a so-called “mini jobber” attractive and sustainable.
Dr. Uwe Schlegel and Christian Schindler take a look at the webinar on the “450 Euro remuneration package”, the legal framework of the employment relationship that is widespread in many industries, and formulate important advice for employers looking for urgently needed support. The result is a “checklist” which outlines the most important (tax) legal regulations for the employment of 450 euro workers in six points. Due to the general validity of the information, the checklist serves as a valuable guide for various industries. First, Schindler and Schlegel offer an overview of the financial framework for a 450 euro job. Then they devote themselves to numerous questions about wages with special attention to the relationship between the minimum wage and the maximum number of hours the mini-jobber can work. In the focus area “Benefits”, the ETL experts take up the possibilities and specifications of tax and social security-free surcharges and discuss other incentives with which employers can make mini-jobs attractive beyond the monthly wage. In addition, it is mainly about legal pitfalls and frequent ambiguities, for example with the vacation regulations and the continued payment of wages in the event of illness, as well as Christmas and vacation pay.
