Messe Essen GmbH
It is the home of all car fans: From November 27th to December 5th (November 26th: Preview Day) the Essen Motor Show will take place at Messe Essen. The PS Festival combines sports cars, tuning & lifestyle, motorsport and classic cars into a colorful offer that delights car lovers and tuners. Around 400 exhibitors present their new vehicles and a wide range of accessories at the EMS. From the coveted sports car to chassis and wheels to the chic hoodie from the trendy label, there is hardly anything left to be desired in Essen. Clear the stage for Europe’s largest and most important event for sporty cars.
Because the effects of the pandemic can still be felt in many places, the Essen Motor Show will take place this year as a “Limited Edition” and without the motorsport arena. But there can be no question of small: The PS Festival occupies eight halls, and the euphoria among exhibitors and visitors is great after the pandemic-related break last year. Whether gasoline or electric: “The Essen Motor Show shows what relevance the car has and will continue to have in the future. Cars don’t just get us from A to B – they should be fun and inspire their drivers, regardless of the drive.” , describes Oliver P. Kuhrt, Managing Director of Messe Essen, the core idea of the Essen Motor Show. “120,000 enthusiastic visitors would be a great success in the current situation,” said Kuhrt. The health and safety of all trade fair participants are always the top priority.
For the first time esports on the EMS
Car fans will find a number of their favorite brands in Essen. These include ADAC Motorsport, Borbet, Continental, Genesis, Hyundai, H&R Spezialfedern, Mercedes Fan-World and Wheelpros Europe. There are also well-known tuners such as Mareike Fox, JP Performance, Prior Design and Sidney Industries. A complete list of exhibitors can be found at www.essen-motorshow.de. For the first time, the Essen Motor Show is also bringing the topic of e-sports to the start: At the stand of the motorsport simulation RaceRoom in Hall 3, visitors can take a seat in the racing seat and indulge in the exhilaration of speed. The simulation includes well-known racing series, legendary racing cars and world-famous tracks.
Perhaps not (yet) legendary, but the tuningXperience in Hall 5 is definitely cult. Around 100 private owners present their lovingly tuned vehicles in the special show, which are among the best on the European scene. The spectrum ranges from moderate everyday vehicles to brute motorsport bolides to pure show cars. In addition to well-known models, the show’s line-up also includes rare examples such as Barkas B1000, Lada 2103, Polski Fiat 126p and VW Brasilia, as well as several vehicles from Tesla. Camping fans can also look forward to an Audi A7 Competition – with a built-up roof tent.
Sustainable mobility at the Essen Motor Show
It does not work? Doesn’t exist at the Essen Motor Show. Even if the gasoline engine dominates the scene, the interest in sustainably powered vehicles is growing. The mobility service provider Next eShare.one is presenting a selection of current series models in Hall 3 that are electrically, hybrid or hydrogen-powered. The focus of the presentation is on the trade fair premiere of a Tesla Model Y and a Ford Mustang Mach-E.
Tuners aren’t speeders
Regardless of the drive, the following applies on the EMS: Tuners are not speeders. Klaus Stadler, exhibitor and founder of the Mustang Owners Club, shares this idea: “Anyone who puts as much effort, love and money into their car as the exhibitors at the Essen Motor Show never thinks of driving an illegal race with it. The risk for yourself, others and the vehicle is far too great. ” The TUNE IT initiative also shows that tuning and safety go hand in hand at the Essen Motor Show! SAFE! in Hall 7, which is unveiling its new campaign vehicle in Essen. It is traditionally a tuned sports car in police look.
The Essen Motor Show is also a must for classic connoisseurs: In the Classic & Prestige Salon of the organizer SIHA in Halls 1 and 2, dealers present exquisite classic automobiles for sale, including many sports and racing vehicles. The focus of the oldest classic sales salon in Germany is traditionally several special shows for automobile anniversaries.
The then valid Corona Protection Ordinance of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia, which currently provides for a 3G regulation and mask requirement, applies to the Essen Motor Show. To avoid long queues, ticket sales can only be found online at www.essen-motorshow.de instead of.
