The Green politician Renate Künast assumes that a new federal government made up of the SPD, Greens and FDP will liberalize cannabis policy.
In the RBB program “We have to talk!” On Tuesday evening, Künast, who is also part of her party’s negotiating team at the federal level, said that “all three parties negotiating are of the opinion that this pure ban policy has failed.” She hoped, Künast continued, “that we will get a good result there.”
She made it clear what was important for the Greens in the coalition talks on the issue of cannabis legalization: The state must guarantee “a controlled delivery from the age of 18”: “We want there are specialist shops where people are trained and have to educate . ”
The deputy federal chairman of the German police union, Sabine Schumann, contradicted this. With regard to the high level of drug crime in the Netherlands, she said that “Labor Holland simply failed”.
