The Holzminden-based building technology manufacturer Stiebel Eltron has now received the award for ‘TOP career opportunities’ for the fourth time in a row. This year the company is also the industry winner for the first time in the field of heating and cooling technology providers. The study “Top Career Opportunities 2021” was carried out on behalf of Focus Money and Deutschland Test by the IMWF Institute for Management and Economic Research.
“This is confirmation of our efforts in recent years to keep employee satisfaction high here in the company and to offer a wide range of benefits,” explains Christiane Schäfers, Head of Personnel and Organization. “We are particularly proud to have won the industry for the first time this year in the heating and cooling technology supplier category,” said Rebecca Knauer, Head of Human Resources Germany, happily. Stiebel Eltron achieved very good scores in the areas of career prospects and corporate climate in particular. “This is reflected, for example, in the extraordinarily long periods of service of our employees,” adds Knauer. “But again this year we have initiated various measures to offer a wide variety of target groups top career opportunities. These include the re-introduced trainee program in sales and the first-time lateral entry program for customer service technicians. There are various practice-integrated study programs for young skilled workers future-proof apprenticeships, such as the mechatronics technician for refrigeration technology “.
The family company from southern Lower Saxony has grown rapidly, especially in the past five years. In 2020, a record turnover of over 700 million euros was achieved, and this figure is expected to be significantly exceeded in 2021. “Compared to 2015, sales will have more than doubled. This growth is primarily driven by an immense demand for our products from the” Renewable Energies “sector – that is, heat pumps and ventilation devices”, says Managing Director Dr. Nicholas mats.
“This growth is accompanied by a high need for personnel in almost all areas: sales, administration, customer service and specialists in production. The need is not limited to the Holzminden location, but exists throughout Germany,” confirms Knauer. “We are therefore always happy to see anyone interested in becoming part of the Stiebel Eltron Group.”
For the study, on the one hand, within the framework of social listening, it was examined how companies are talked about on the Internet with regard to career opportunities. In addition, companies in Germany were contacted by email and asked to return a questionnaire on the relevant aspects. For this study, a good two million mentions were identified and assigned to the approximately 22,500 companies for the investigation period from September 1, 2020 to August 31, 2021.
