In line with the Korea-Singapore travel bubble (travel safety zone), which will be in effect from November 15, a Singapore travel agency will visit Seoul.

The Seoul Metropolitan Government and the Seoul Tourism Organization will hold a three-day, two-night tour from November 22 for Dynasty Travel, Singapore’s largest travel agency, and Chan Brothers. It is significant in that the Familiar Tour for overseas travel agencies, which was suspended for two years after the COVID-19 outbreak, will resume. The number of tourists visiting Korea in Singapore amounted to about 250,000 as of 2019, ranking 12th after Malaysia (408,590) and Indonesia (277,575).

This Fam Tour introduces Hallyu contents such as ‘BTS’ and ‘Squid Game’, and consists of attractions in Seoul that are customized according to the request of each travel agency. In particular, networking time will be prepared between the Seoul tourism industry, such as inbound travel agencies, and Singapore travel agencies in preparation for with Corona. In December, a webinar for the Singapore travel industry will be held to introduce Seoul tourism.

In addition, the Tourism Foundation will hold a meeting to prepare for the With Corona transition for the tourism industry and citizens from November 15th to 26th. ‘Let’s Cheer Up Seoul, Here Young Tea Soul Week’ is held to hear opinions for revitalizing Seoul tourism through meetings with each tourism sector, such as the travel industry and MICE. The meeting will be held over 8 sessions, followed by travel agencies, Seoul MICE Alliance, and tourism startups.

In addition, the Tourism Foundation is preparing tourism promotion projects in various fields such as domestic and overseas marketing, tourism course and infrastructure development, tourism industry support, and MICE attraction in order to achieve a rapid leap forward in Seoul tourism in line with the With Corona era.

“The implementation of the travel bubble with Singapore is a very positive issue from the point of view of the Seoul tourism industry,” said Lee Joon, deputy head of the Seoul Tourism Foundation’s International Tourism and MICE Division. It’s time to do it,” he said.
