Various Hallyu products… K-Expo will be held for the month of November

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism announced on the 25th that it will hold the ‘2021 K-Expo’, both online and offline, to promote Korean contents and products in collaboration with related ministries for a month from November 1 to 30.

This expo is in accordance with the ‘New Hallyu Promotion Policy Promotion Plan’ announced in July last year, and was prepared to support the overseas advancement of related industries through Hallyu.

In particular, ministries such as ‘On: Hallyu Festival’ of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, ‘Hallyu Exposition’ of the Ministry of Industry, ‘Buy Korean Food’ of the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs, and ‘Korean Seafood’ of the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries, etc. It focused on enhancing synergy by linking the events related to Hallyu that had been held individually and conducting them comprehensively.

From the 1st of next month, when the festival starts, the government will actively promote Hallyu contents and Hallyu products and services such as cosmetics, food, and fashion through online and offline links.

Online, Korean Wave products are introduced through short entertainment-type videos, and promotions of Hallyu-related industrial products are promoted using global online and offline distribution networks such as Amazon, Walmart, Taobao, and Wildberry. Domestic companies participating in the special sale of Hallyu include 100 content companies, 14 cosmetics companies, 200 agro-food companies, 100 seafood companies, 50 brand K small and medium-sized companies, and 100 consumer goods companies.

The offline event will be held at COEX for 3 nights and 4 days from the 8th to the 11th of next month. A video export conference, a special exhibition of Hallyu related products, and live commerce are planned.

An online K-pop performance to induce overseas interest in Hallyu products will also be held during the event. This performance, which will be broadcast live worldwide on the 6th of next month through domestic broadcasters, YouTube, TikTok, etc. is expected to be
