- A total of 185,300 euros have already been donated to the German Children’s Fund
- Sponsorship of the “Colorful House” in Berlin enables children to have a “second home”
- Healthy nutrition for children and adolescents
Instead of giving a bonus, the Interhyp Group donates 50 euros for every customer referred to the German Children’s Fund. In the third quarter of 2021, 40,750 euros were raised for the children’s emergency fund of the children’s rights organization founded in 1972. The donation amount is halved and on the one hand benefits the nationwide institutions of the German Children’s Fund. On the other hand, the “Bunte Haus” in Berlin, for which the Interhyp Group has taken on a sponsorship, is funded. Overall, Germany’s largest broker of private construction financing was able to support the German Children’s Fund with over 180,000 euros this year.
The multigenerational house “Buntes Haus” is a meeting place for people of all ages in the Marzahn-Hellersdorf district of Berlin and was opened in March 2009. With daily cooking and baking together, children from families in the district who are affected by poverty are specifically encouraged. In addition to the free and balanced food, the facility makes an important contribution to raising awareness and ties in with the educational work of the schools. With the donation from the Interhyp Group, projects such as the children’s home’s fresh cooking and baking options can be expanded.
“As a mortgage broker, we people fulfill their dream of having their own home. And through our regular support of the German Children’s Fund, we help to give disadvantaged children all over Germany a kind of second home,” says Jörg Utecht, CEO of the Interhyp Group, and adds: ” With warm, balanced meals at mealtimes together, the ‘Bunte Haus’ in Berlin makes a great contribution. We are very pleased that this offer and the valuable educational work can be expanded with our donation. ”
“For children from poor families in particular, we need extracurricular activities that enable social interaction and also support learning at school. But the topic of ‘healthy eating’ is also very important. The ‘Colorful House’ in Marzahn-Hellersdorf is doing a great job here, which can be expanded with donations from the Interhyp Group. For this, we say thank you very much on behalf of the children, “emphasizes Holger Hofmann, Federal Managing Director of the German Children’s Fund.
