Radisson Red focuses on more lifestyle | current tourism



At the beginning of 2022, the Radisson Hotel Group (RHG) plans to open the first hotel of the young lifestyle brand Radisson Red in the Germany-Austria-Switzerland (roof) region. The Radisson Red Vienna is being built directly on the Danube Canal in Leopoldstadt. It has 179 rooms, a restaurant, a fitness and a seminar area as well as the rooftop bar, which is almost mandatory in new hotels.

The Radisson Red Innsbruck will follow in 2023 with 161 rooms, a restaurant with an outdoor terrace, a sky restaurant and a fitness and meeting area.

Market entry in Germany

Radisson Red celebrates its premiere in Germany in 2024. For the Radisson Red Cologne, an existing property near Cologne Cathedral is being renovated and a new building will be added. After completion, the Radisson Red Cologne will offer 262 rooms, a restaurant and bar concept, a fitness area as well as meeting and event areas.

A Radisson Red is also planned in Stuttgart. It is being built on the former freight yard in Bad Cannstatt and will have 194 rooms.

Also in 2024, the brand’s second hotel, the Radisson Red Vienna Weitblick, is due to open in the Austrian capital.

The market entry in Switzerland is planned for 2024. The Radisson Red Winterthur is being built in the so-called Lokstadt and will offer 180 rooms.

Radisson Red was developed in 2016 with a hotel in Brussels. The brand is aimed at millennials with a focus on design, personal interaction and technology. Guests can check in using an app, order flowers from the online concierge and control the functions in their room.
