COVID-19: Moderna affirms that its vaccine has a “strong” efficacy in children 6 to 11 years old

The American pharmaceutical company Moderna announced on Monday positive results of its vaccine against COVID-19 in children between 6 and 11 years old, and plans to submit “short-term” data to regulatory bodies around the world for approval.

Data from clinical trials conducted in more than 4,700 children in this age group show a “strong” immune response in terms of antibody levels and a “favorable safety profile,” Moderna said in a statement.
