Despite the crisis, Club Med plans to open a total of 14 new resorts by 2023. In addition, many renovations combined with upgrades are due, reports Nathalie Rohmer, Germany boss of the French club tour operator. Club Med therefore continues to rely heavily on Premium. According to Rohmer, 90 percent of all resorts already have four and five tridents, as the French stars are called. New in the portfolio: a four-Trident resort in Quebec for ski fans and a resort La Rosière in the French Alps, also four Tridents.

After renovations, the Vier-Trident-Resort in Marbella on the Andalusian coast is due to open in May 2022 – Club Med is returning to Spain after more than 20 years, the company announced. The resort has twelve hectares of gardens. Guests are offered a wide range of leisure and wellness activities – for example paddle tennis, golf, hiking, spa therapies or acrobatics on the flying trapeze. There is also a water park for families and various pools. Childcare is also provided. Excursions should lead to the old town of Marbella, which is within walking distance.
