The internationally oriented Innovation Hub Spark of the academic educational institution Les Roches has grown strongly within a year and has gained important partners. Spark’s declared aim is to support promising projects in the hospitality industry via platforms at the locations of Crans-Montana in Switzerland and Marbella in Spain. The Valais Innovation Hub now has its own premises in the heart of the renowned University of Applied Sciences for Hotel Management.

In June 2020, Les Roches and the Association of Municipalities of Crans-Montana announced the joint creation of an innovation center with the aim of helping to shape the future of the hospitality industry. It is now the global center Spark to promote innovation with a focus on the hotel, tourism, luxury and restaurant industries has become a reality. The universe of the digital center, Spark Hospitality Digital Center, consists of four completely redesigned units. The other two, the media center for communication and the test center for virtual reality projects, are designed as test laboratories.

Finally, Spark is also integrated into the academic program of the educational institution Les Roches and places innovation and entrepreneurship at the center of student life. With this in mind, Spark invites students, alumni and partners from industry to develop and test new solutions together in the laboratories on campus. This gives students the opportunity to work on business consulting and solving academic problems for authentic industrial and commercial cases provided by the partners.
