The new “Victoria Park” business park is being built on an area of around 34 hectares in Hamburg-Rahlstedt. The first topping-out ceremony has now been celebrated: OTTO WULFF has completed the shell for the new headquarters of the SUND Group.

The starting shot has been given for the new Victoria Park Hamburg business park. After a little more than a year of construction, OTTO WULFF, as general contractor, completed the shell of the new headquarters of the SUND Group. The SUND Group moves into the building with the companies Deiss, Fipp, Bingold and SUND Digital. With this, OTTO WULFF is erecting the first building in the new business park realized by the Jebens Group. The topping-out ceremony was celebrated on Friday.

The future headquarters of the SUND Group consists of an office and administration center as well as adjoining storage areas. In total, the new building has a gross floor area of approx. 22,700 m². About 7,600 m² of this is office space and a further 15,100 m² is storage space. The latter is designed as a high-bay warehouse with more than 34,000 pallet spaces. In the future, various household products such as garbage bags made from recycled material and medical gloves will be stored here at a height of up to 20 meters.

Highest certification for sustainable construction

In the planning of Victoria Park and especially in the construction of the new SUND company headquarters, there is a special focus on sustainability. The SUND Group has commissioned a company headquarters that meets the requirements of the highest sustainability certificate from the German Sustainable Building Council (DGNB). For example, OTTO WULFF relies on ecological building materials and recyclable raw materials for construction. In addition, a large photovoltaic system with around 1,600 modules will be installed on the roof of the new building, which will supply the building with solar power.

The completion of the new company headquarters is planned for November 2022.

Victoria Park Hamburg is located in the immediate vicinity of the already existing Merkur Park and the Minerva Park, which is also under construction. The new business park fits into an overall concept. This is characterized above all by the combination of north German nature and modern architecture as well as ecologically oriented planning.
