Bertelsmann is once again promoting its advanced training initiative # 50000Chances with an extensive media campaign, which aims to impart knowledge about future technologies to people all over the world. For the third time, 15,000 scholarships are being offered for courses on the online learning platform Udacity in the areas of cloud, data and artificial intelligence; Applications are still possible until November 30, 2021. Bertelsmann is drawing attention to this initiative with fast-paced TV spots, print and online ads, social ads and its own landing page.

The international media, service and education company wants to counteract the shortage of skilled workers in the technology sector with the # 50000Chportunities initiative. In each of the first two rounds, 15,000 scholarships were offered and promoted worldwide with a media campaign. A total of more than 100,000 applications from 180 countries were then received, including around 4,000 from Bertelsmann employees. The 2020 media campaign had reached more than 34 million people.

Bertelsmann CEO Thomas Rabe says: “Getting people around the world excited about digital education is very important to us. We want to make them fit for a world of work that is changing at a rapid pace due to digitization. The spots of the new media campaign show people in different places around the world who use digital devices and experience data management, cloud computing and artificial intelligence in quick succession.
