Europe’s largest automobile club ADAC and Global NCAP (Nthat one CWith Assessment Pprograms) continue to cooperate. On Monday, ADAC Technology President Karsten Schulze and Global NCAP Technical Director Alejandro Furas agreed to extend the successful collaboration for the next three years.

The cooperation between the Global NCAP consumer protection program and the ADAC has existed for eleven years. The club acts as a consultant and implementing partner for consumer protection tests in Latin America. With tests in the area of ​​crash and child seats, but also exhaust emissions and driver assistance in the ADAC technical center in Landsberg, the ADAC provides valuable data on the active and passive safety of new vehicles. This involves the development of new test procedures that are specially adapted to the needs of the market in South America.

The evaluation scheme of the consumer protection program Euro NCAP serves as a basis for comparison for the safety of vehicles. The evaluation system is regularly updated and new tests are added. ADAC Technical President Karsten Schulze: “With the renewal of the cooperation, ADAC is not only increasing traffic safety in Europe but is also spreading its knowledge across the ocean to help minimize traffic accidents and increase safety there.”
