Deutscher Reisering: Members’ meeting in December | current tourism

The Deutsche Reisering meets on December 4th for a general meeting. The meeting takes place at a place that is used to travel agency cooperation: the Abacus Tierpark Hotel in Berlin-Lichtenberg.

Branch manager Andreas Quenstedt: “The framework conditions for a step-by-step return to normality are in place and encourage us in our decision to hold our general meeting in December with a presence.”

Thanks to the DRV

In the past year and a half, a large number of the Reisering members have maintained the necessary digital pressure, but also on the street, and made their needs more visible. According to Reisering, the cooperation between the associations, above all the DRV, with the ministries and authorities – largely supported by sales – was very successful.

“The bridging aid kept the situation largely stable. This was the only way to use the corona crisis as an interim phase for our affiliated member companies, ”says Quenstedt gratefully.

The branch manager also mentions that a large number of projects could be initiated and implemented. According to Reisering, the decisive basis was the financial incentives for investing in digitization within the bridging aid.

Very few business tasks

Deutsche Reisering only recorded a very small number of corona-related market exits. The travel agency cooperation points out that this could be achieved through very intensive cooperation and a lively exchange of information, especially on the aid programs.

It is also positive that some newcomers, some of them prominent, have been accepted into the club. This also includes a small chain.

Registrations for the general assembly are still possible until November 15th.
